Romi Dames
Romi Dames (born Hiromi Dames, November 5, 1979) is an American actress and voice actress of Japanese and Jewish descent, born on a U.S. naval base in Yokosuka, Japan.
Raised in Japan until age 13 before moving to Seattle, she began acting young, earning a regional Emmy nomination as a teen reporter and appearing on Bill Nye the Science Guy.
Dames gained prominence voicing the nasal-voiced socialite Traci Van Horn on Disney Channel's Hannah Montana (2006–2009), a satirical take on celebrity culture that resonated with Gen X parents and millennials.
Her Disney animation roles include additional voices in Phineas and Ferb (2009–2010), Vivica in Star Darlings (2015), Himari Tanaka in Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures (2019), Charlene and Sharon in Milo Murphy's Law (2017), and Pearl Paddock in Amphibia (2020).
Dames represents Japanese-American voice talent bridging live-action teen comedy and Disney's 2000s–2010s animated slate for global kid audiences.
